Swan 58-029

Launch Season comes to a close at Pietarsaari Yard

As the weather turns colder, the yacht-launching and commissioning season at the Pietarsaari yard is winding down. The final yacht of the year, a Swan 58-029, was launched in mid-October for its final tests before being transported to Badalona for commissioning. This year’s season kicked off with a snowy start in late April, marked by the launch of two Swan 88s. From that moment until Midsummer, the BTC harbour was bustling, delivering a total of 18 yachts between 48 and 88 feet throughout May and June. This year saw the debut of two new models—the Swan 88 and the ClubSwan 43—which have been on display at autumn boat shows. By year’s end, BTC will have delivered a remarkable 27 yachts.

With the hull and deck now united, the scale and character of this vessel is beginning to emerge. The Swan 128-001 will stand as the largest full-carbon Swan Maxi ever built, featuring a remarkable 57m high-modulus mast from Southern Spars in New Zealand.
Moving forward, we’ll be focusing on overhead panel installations and preparations for initial testing slated for February. The anticipated launch in early spring 2025 brings us one step closer to seeing this extraordinary yacht in her element!
