In the winter of 2020, Max Campbell with a crew of friends ambitiously set sail across the Bay of Biscay. Sandstorms, volcanoes, a pandemic and Venezuelan pirates haven’t stopped them yet, and the voyage continues towards the South Pacific.

How did your passion for sailing and for the ocean come about?

I was born in Bristol, which is in the South West of the UK, and when I was 4 years old, my mum, who was single at the time, met my stepdad Dave Cockwell, a boat builder who was living in his boat in Bristol harbor.
