CHRISTENING:  SIERRA / WHIMSEA / COCO / MELTEMI

The Nautor Swan Global Service team has been working on testing, final assembly, and the commissioning process, following the yachts’ production and transport from Nautor BTC Yard in Finland. The focus is on getting everything up and running while ensuring each yacht meets Nautor’s high-quality standards. Owners also undergo a familiarization process to learn how to handle the boat with ease, and we introduce them to NSGS, the Swan Owners’ guardian angel, who embodies the spirit of meeting owners’ expectations and enhancing the Swan experience worldwide.

Sierra and Whimsea are two Swan 48 Mk II yachts that recently met their owners at our boatyards in Badalona and Scarlino. This exceptional model signifies the completion of an inspiring project and the beginning of a remarkable sailing journey for proud owners.

We are also thrilled to introduce Swan 54-004 Meltemi to the Swan world. It was an honour for our NSGS Badalona team to christen this beauty after a winter refit. We can’t wait to see Meltemi sail and embark on new adventures with her proud owner.

Lastly, we are excited to announce that the magnificent Swan 58-015 COCO has been successfully launched after a meticulous commissioning process. We showcased COCO as she travelled by truck from Finland to Badalona, and we’re thrilled to see her sailing the seas with her new owners.

WORLDWIDE ASSISTANCE GENEVE

Recently, our team travelled to Geneva to assist the Swan 44-149 Virevent with various services including changing the rudder bearing, checking the rudder systems, cleaning the deck hardware, and conducting a comprehensive boat systems check.

During their visit, the team also had the pleasure of meeting Anne Chiari Gaggia, a lifelong Swan owner who is a solo sailing enthusiast. Anne has an impressive sailing record, having sailed as many miles on Lake Geneva as if she had circumnavigated the world. She is also the author of the book “La Translémanique en solitaire: un rêve de jeunesse” (The Translemanique solo: a youthful dream) and finished the legendary @instabom Bol d’Or Mirabaud in 2019.

Anne expressed her satisfaction with the visit, stating that the NSGS team are excellent engineers, especially Iago, who knows everything about the boat. She shared that when she first acquired the boat, she felt a little alone but managed to contact the Nautor Swan official surveyor, who conducted the first check. Later on, Mr. German Frers helped her a lot with the polar plot, and today the Global Service team is visiting her to ensure that everything is up to date. Anne emphasized the importance of having a reliable link to keep the ship in good condition.

We are delighted to know such an enthusiastic #Swanlover with a spirit of adventure. We wish Virevent fair winds and many more miles to come!

SCARLINO ARIA

We are proud to announce that SWAN 60-024 Aria is now ready for an incredible new season, thanks to the outstanding work of our dedicated team.

The owner of Aria is delighted with the results of the comprehensive refit, which included a complete painting job, replacement of the engine and generator, internal disassembly and reassembly, installation of a new teak deck, and a thorough inspection of the mast. The owner’s satisfaction is evident in their glowing smile, captured in the photo.

We would like to acknowledge the hard work of the six teams involved in the refit process, including the painting team, rigging team, fitting and hardware team, joinery team, composites team, and electrics and electronics team. Each team played a crucial role in ensuring that Aria is now in optimal condition, ready to embark on new adventures.

We wish Aria and her crew fair winds and look forward to hearing about their upcoming voyages.
