Amazing result for ClubSwan 42 Be Wild at the 40th edition of this iconic regatta: she maintained the leadership during the whole competition, finishing first in the ORC division and third in IRC overall.
As the best placed Swan, the owner, Renzo Grottesi was presented with the Swan Mediterranean Challenge Trophy at the final prize giving. He commented on his victory with these words: “We have sailed this race seven times and the weather has always been different. BeWild is a good boat in light air, but it was difficult to decide which way to go. Then, for the last 200 miles, we were in strong winds. The humour on board and working as a team made us strong. It is a long race, with very strong competition, and you only relax when you have finished.”
