Enjoying life onboard Midnight Swan

What could be better than setting sail, visiting some of your favorite places aboard your new sailboat and indulging in delicious seafood? For Chaz Ivill, it would only be to sail further away.

Have you always been passionate about sailing?

I’m a seasoned sailor with nearly four decades of experience.

My great passion for sailing started in 1986 with my first boat, a 23-foot sailboat with a trailer called First Off, which I used in the lake district. Since then, I have sailed on several boats, including a friend’s Swan 36 in the 1990s, which impressed me with its build quality and well-behaved nature.

How were you first introduced to the world of Swan?

I recently acquired a new boat, a stunning Swan 48 called Midnight Swan. Having been an avid sailor for many years, I have been attracted to Swan yachts for at least thirty years, ever since I tried out my friend’s 36. I was struck by the quality and excellent handling. In my heart, I have always known, or rather hoped, that one day I would own one.
