ClubSwan is proud to announce the 2021 racing calendar which includes the One Design Races, reserved for ClubSwan 36, ClubSwan 42, Swan 45 and ClubSwan 50 classes, and the Rating Regattas throughout the world.
For the One Design Classes, THE NATIONS LEAGUE, once again maintains the spirit of gentlemanly competition between countries engendered by the original event.
THE NATIONS LEAGUE not only awards the individual Class League winners but also the best-placed nation is awarded with special prizes.
On the other hand, the SWAN ONE DESIGN WORLDS represents a unique stand-alone event. Adding further excitement to the concept, as happened for 2018/2019, 2020/2021 THE NATION LEAGUE will impact upon the final result of The Nations Trophy 2021.
Beside the One Design events, the Nautor’s Swan is committed to organizing some of the foremost rating races in the world, like the Swan Mediterranean Trophy, the Swan American Trophy, the Swan European Trophy and the Swan Maxi Trophy.

The expertise of Luca Ferron, marine artist and producer of some of the finest half hulls, has interpreted the spirit of The Nations League competition with three stunning awards for the One Design winners during the last Swan One Design Worlds, held in Scarlino.

The additional challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic have of course changed things this year, but the vibrant mood and palpable excitement of departure day was as evident as it has been throughout the rally’s 35-year history and the ocean beckoned for the eager sailors to begin their adventure to Saint Lucia.
Three Swan yachts graced the starting line, all competing in Cruising I Class:

• Swan 65 BLUE MAGIC
• Swan 48 S&S MONTANA
• Swan 66 SALPARE

According to our live updates, Swan 65 Blue Magic has already passed halfway and is leading the cruising class with a good marginal and also in good positions overall .
Samuli Salanterä, Nautor’s Swan Board Member and Commodore of the Yacht Club Turku (FIN), is joining Blue Magic crew.

In Spain this is call “dia de los santos inocentes”
At the time we were dreaming of having such a boat in order to compete and enter in the ¨Swan family” we had then a nice 45 foot cruising boat and never though a Swan would be within our reach..It was an innocent dream…
There came a time where the dream became real, we found our Swan45-025 and put our hands on her..It was an innocent dream which came true, so one of many kids, present in the conversation in the past reminded us of this April Fools’ day name.. we just translated the French version into Spanish so it was not so obvious…

A very important factor when underwriting or renewing your policy is to verify that the yacht is insured for the correct value. An over-stated value will in fact result in the payment of a higher premium than necessary, while understating the value involves two risks; The first is to receive, in the event of a total loss, an insufficient amount compared to the loss suffered. The second is that in an “under-insured” situation Insurance Companies, in the event of partial damage, reduce the liquidated sum in the same proportion as the under-insurance percentage.
In the case of a new yacht, the value to be insured must therefore coincide with the purchase price, if the boat is registered to a physical person, indirect taxes must also be added.
On the other hand, if we are considering a used boat, then in spite of the purchase price for which you might have managed to get a good deal, it will be necessary to identify the correct market value by verifying the transactions of similar boats on the market.
