Round the Island Race
June 29th - Cowes (GBR)
The annual Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight (51 nautical mile course). Born in 1931 from an idea on of member Major Cyril Windeler.
The regatta is one of the largest yacht races in the world; in fact, over 1.400 boats attended the race; among them 18 Swan yachts enrolled.
Swan 36 Finola was the best-placed Swan, thus her crew deserved the ClubSwan Award for the best-placed Swan. The iconic first model produced by Nautor’s Swan continues confirming its glorious performance in racing.
