A proud and delighted Austrian owner and heading for the Mediterranean in a couple of weeks.

A few weeks ago the first Australian Swan 48 was launched in Sydney before the proud and happy owner’s eyes.

Swan 45 Rats on Fire and ClubSwan 50 Tenaz gained respectively the first two places of the podium in ORC 1 Class. In particular, Mr. Pablo Garriga, owner of Tenaz, secured his first Godó prize. Congratulations!

The Rolex Swan Cup 2020 presents a full and exciting program both on and off the water for all participants. The rating yachts will enjoy 6 days of coastal races, while the Swan One Design Classes will enjoy 7 days of round-the-cans courses.
Ashore, the social program will kick off with the Opening Ceremony scheduled on September 7^th at 7 pm in the beautiful setting of the YCCS terrace.
The celebration continues with the Swan One Design Owners’ dinner on Friday 11^th at 8 pm while on Saturday 12^th the YCCS will host the Swan Rating Owners’ dinner. The week will end with the final prize-giving on Sunday 13^th at 5.30 pm in Piazza Azzurra.

Normally insurance policies provide that the yacht can be left unattended while laid up afloat, only in one of the following conditions:
- in port or other harbor approved by the competent Authority
- On inland waters;
- In non-exposed marine waters;
“The definition of “non-exposed marine waters” is a coastal sea area or sheet of water where anchoring or berthing is permitted and which is sheltered from wind and waves for at least 270 compass degrees. It can happen, however, that the yacht is left, without people on board, to go for a walk or to go for dinner, with the Owner and crew remaining nearby, along a coast or a bay that is exposed for more than 90 compass degrees. In this case, it is better to check that your policy provides for this kind of possibility through the extension of "exposed marine waters” commonly provided by the policy’s clauses. Normally this clause is valid only during the daytime (until sunset) but it is possible to ask your Insurer to extend it until midnight and to have the possibility to enjoy a pleasant dinner ashore with the whole crew.
