Another Swan pure racer is ready to compete in the next regattas and to join the ClubSwan 36 Class.

After successful commissioning and sea trials, Swan 78-005 left the yard in Finland a few days ago heading to Malta and then onwards to Greece for the summer.

Production of the first hull of Swan 58 is progressing quickly at the Boatbuilding Technology Center in Finland: the deck has been infused, the joinery department is creating furnitures and the hull has now been moved into assembly; while hull 002 is right out of the mold.

After a forced resting period for our One Design racing teams a new calendar of thrilling and exciting events has been confirmed and locations and dates have been unveiled for the 2021 Nations League Mediterranean based on 5 exciting appointments:

Act #1 - Marina di Scarlino (ITA), May 25^th -29^th (for ClubSwan 50 and ClubSwan 36 ONLY)
Act #2 - Porto Cervo (ITA), June 29^th– July 3^rd
Act #3 - Copa del Rey, Palma de Mallorca (ESP), August 2^nd – 7^th
Act #4 - The Nations Trophy, Palma de Mallorca (ESP), September 14^th – 18^th
               Swan One Design Worlds, St. Tropez (FRA), October 19^th – 23^rd

The teams will have the chance to meet and train for the regattas, participating to a warm up event, which will be hosted at Marina di Scarlino between the end of March and April.
Due to the increase in the One Design fleet Nautor’s Swan launched the new format ofstand alone events, where owners and crews can enjoy the exclusivity of being a ClubSwan member, taking a delight in a dedicated venue and a totally new concierge service.
Moreover, the Nations League North Europe will be held during the Nord Stream Race (Kiel, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg in June/July 2021). Each leg hosted by the very best yacht clubs in each country to ensure the highest level of racing and lovely social settings.

Four ACISail's ClubSwan 36 yachts competed amongst record high 54 registered boats for this regatta. ACISail's ClubSwan 36 „ Bracing breeze“ won a second place while the rest of the ClubSwan 36 fleet scored top 15 places.
This offshore regatta, popularly called "One hundred Miles for two" is attractive not only because of its 100 Nm route: Split-island Sušac-Split, but also because it is also double handed what makes it even more challenging. 
22 hours of sailing, shifty challenging winds varying from ultra-strong, due to which the race was postponed for one day, to light breeze and strong currents between islands made this race even more difficult for all crews.
“Once again ClubSwan 36 proved that it is a real race machine in every single condition“, said Ivan Kljaković-Gašpić, ACI Sail's project manager who sailed on ClubSwan 36 „Bracing Breeze“ which won second place. “Regatta Sušac 100 Miles double handed was one of the interesting tests for ClubSwan 36. After almost 24 hours of no sleeping and no rest for two of us on board, we have to say that binspite of everything we had a great time and enjoyed the race tremendously. ClubSwan 36 boat is a beast for every occasion. Although she is built for inshore races we never felt discouraged or penalised by sailing double handed in difficult event. The race was sailed without autopilot so once again ClubSwan 36 quite easy to handle the boat in every situation.” ACI Sail’s Ivan Kljaković-Gašpič continued.

Swan 56 CLEM PRIMERO scored first place in line honour and ORC overall at the VII volta a Mallorca. Sailing season has now definitely started and we can’t wait for the next coming events.

Confirming the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo from September 7^th to 13^th, we are glad to share with you the story of the winners of the Swan One Design Classes throughout 6 editions of this iconic regatta.
The Swan 45 Class begun its adventure at the Rolex Swan Cup in 2004 and during that edition Swan 45 Vertigo won the regatta allowing owner Marco Salvi onto the stage. In 2006 Danilo Salsi’s DSK reached the podium, while for the following four editions Hendrik Brandis’s Earlybird achieved 1^st place. The 2016 edition was won by Christian Plump’s Elena Nova, while in 2018 Luis Senis helmed Porron IX as the winner of the class.
The ClubSwan 42 Class entered the Rolex Swan Cup in 2008 with Kora 4 winner of that and the following edition. Natalia Brailou conquered the podium with the ClubSwan 42 Natalia for the successive three editions (2012-2014-2016), gained the record as the first woman winning a Swan One Design Class at the Rolex Swan Cup. In 2018, Mela won first place with Andrea Rossi at the helm.
During the last edition in 2018, the ClubSwan 50 Class made its debut and the winner of that edition was Stefan Heidenreich’s One Group. In September 2020 the One Design Class scene will be enriched by the brand-new ClubSwan 36.

Dear Swan Owner,
In readiness for the next summer season, we believe it could be useful to write some words regarding the Hull and Machinery policy, in order to illustrate some procedures to follow in case of claim. In the unfortunate event of a claim, you should submit, within 24 hours, an EXTRAORDINARY EVENT report, to the competent authority, this document will be of fundamental importance in the settlement path with the insurers. For your easy reference, please find here below all the data that must be included:

- vessel data
- owner data
- vessel position where the accident occurred
- weather conditions at the time of the accident
- facts regarding the accident
- damages suffered, with a not too detailed description, you will be able to give more information later.

Take care that in case of structural damage or personal injuries, once the complaint is presented, the maritime Authority is obliged to retain the documents of the boat until a technical survey will be arranged in order to verify that the boat is capable of navigation.
Summing up, in case of damage you have to:
- file a report of an extraordinary event.
- communicate immediately what happened to your insurer or broker.
- take photographs of the damage.
- Indicate where the boat is moored to carry out the surveyor visit.
- ask for a quotation from your recommended shipyard and agree the work with the surveyor.
When your insurers send their surveyor, it is recommended to maintain a relationship of "fairness".
The best way is to set up requests on the basis of centralized estimates relating to the damages suffered. At this stage, we believe the consulting work of a broker is fundamental.

Here in Henån we are happy to report that we, so far this year, we have delivered about 300 yachts to customers following service, repairs and storage at our yard. This year we have had the pleasure and privilege to make major refits of a number of larger yachts in the size of 45-64 feet, and several of them we have prepared for longer sailing adventures, for example ”round the world sailing”, or to participate in the ARC.
We have had up to now about 55 repairs of groundings, collisions, rig repairs, or other insurance cases, here at the yard, involving a number of insurance companies. Please feel welcome to visit our marina, where we can support you with any service you might need. Our marina is equipped with two cranes that handle up to 40 tons, a complete workshop to service engines and undertake rig works, and we also have a small marine spare shop.
If you need storage facilities, other services, or maybe a larger refit on the boat during the coming winter, we would be happy to offer you a good price for storage and whatever service you might need. Our skilled craftsmen with competence in composite repairs, wood works, motor and instruments, sail and rig masters, all together with over a hundred years of experience with all kinds of yachts, makes us very well equipped to exceed your expectations.
