Barry Sampson - ClubSwan 42 Long Echo - wins the ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous 2010

The 2010 Swan Caribbean Challenge was won by Barry Sampson onboard his CS42, Long Echo (GBR). Mr Sampson was presented with the prestigious Asprey Swan Caribbean Challenge trophy at Antigua Sailing Week’s prize giving.

The Swan fleet enjoyed champagne sailing at Antigua Sailing Week this year with moderate winds from the east to south-east and sparkling sunshine on the turquoise Caribbean waters. These conditions are every sailors dream and help to give the regatta its world class status.

The Swan Caribbean Challenge series is open to all Swan owners and this year comprised the St Marteen Heineken Regatta, International Rolex Regatta, BVI Spring Regatta and Antigua Sailing Week. To be eligible for the magnificent Silver Asprey Trophy the Swan yacht must have participated in two of the aforementioned regattas, with Antigua Sailing Week being the final and compulsory event.
