Rolex Swan Cup
10 – 16 September 2012
In September this year, Swans from around the world will be gathering for the 17th edition of the biennial Rolex Swan Cup which takes places from 10 - 16 September. The regatta, which will include the 2012 Swan 45 World Championship, will be hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), providing the gateway to some of the most beautiful sailing in the world.
Porto Cervo will become the centre of the Nautor's Swan world with upwards of 100 Swan yachts competing in this weeklong regatta. Recognised worldwide as one of the preeminent designers / builders of luxury sailing yachts, this event attracts both racing and racer/cruiser yachts. A draw for top sailors, the Rolex Swan Cup provides a spirited week of racing and gala social events for which Nautor's Swan, Rolex and YCCS are renowned.
Last year saw over 90 entries, which included Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, POland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States. Entries for this year's edition of the Rolex Swan Cup are expected to include the majority of the current SwanLine from the Swan 53 to the highly competitive Swan 60 thorugh to the sleek Swan 80 as well as many of the models from Nautor's Swan archives with a class likely dedicated to the Sparkman and Stephens designed models. Sparkman and Stephens were the designers of approximately the first thousand Swan yachts built by the yard, including the memorable and iconic Swan 65 and Swan 46.
A Swan Rendezvous will also run parallel to the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo for those yachts wishing to enjoy sailing through the Magdalena Islands enjoying the spectacle of the racing whilst also enjoying the social activities.

SWAN REGATTAS
Nautor’s Swan regattas attract the world’s elite to annually travel to some of the most stunning yachting locations across the globe and enjoy competitive racing intermixed with sophisticated social events. The diverse international racing calendar is punctuated by two high profile events; the Rolex Swan Cup and the Swan European Regatta where beautifully crafted silverware is awarded to top performers.
The Rolex Swan Cup will be hosted by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in the sublime Porto Cervo, Italy during September 2012. The high impact Swan Maxi Class, Club Swan 42s and Swan 45s will race alongside the full Swan spectrum for a week of unrivalled competition and cosmopolitan glamour.
The Swan European Regatta will again be inviting the Swan family to race on the tidal waters of the UK’s Solent in July 2013. The European Swan fleet heads to the shores of Cowes, Isle of Wight every two years to experience close racing afloat and friendly nights ashore. The Royal Yacht Squadron provides an elite polish to the race planning and logistics synonymous with this world class event.
